A Study on Obtaining Tree Data from Green Spaces in Parks Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Images: Focusing on Mureung Park in Chuncheon

Background and objective The purpose of study is to analyze the three-dimensional (3D) structure by creating a 3D model for green spaces in park using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images. Methods After producing digital surface (DSM) terrain (DTM) UAV images taken Mureung Park Chuncheon-si, we generated tree height (DHM). In addition, used mean shift algorithm test classification accuracy, obtain accurate volume measures through field survey. Results Most species planted were Pinus koraiensis, followed densiflora, Zelkova serrata, most shrubs Rhododendron yedoense, Buxus microphylla, Spiraea prunifolia. average trees measured at site was 7.8 m, estimated 7.5 showing difference about 0.3 m. As result t-test, there no significant between values survey data model. coverage 5,019 m2 14,897 m3, respectively, 6,339 17,167 m3. It analyzed that showed 21% 13%. Conclusion equipped with RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) modules this could collect information on height, coverage, relatively high accuracy within short period time. This serve as an alternative overcome limitations time cost previous surveys remote sensing techniques.
